At the Kroger, seven of the top 10 and 16 of the top 20 in the world are in the field of 144. The tournament, which has traditionally been held in September, takes place May 14-17 at Maketewah Country Club in Cincinatti.

With Korda skipping last week's Mizuho Americas Open, it marks the first time that both the top 2 players in the world are in the same field since the Chevron Championship.

"I think all the players, including me, just really want to get better," said Thitikul on 2026 season trends, "which means we have proof from last year that we got a lot more talented players, from new faces, rookies, and then everyone could win the tournaments, which means the competition level, it's getting higher."
Finishing runner-up to Thitikul on Sunday in New Jersey was her best friend Ruoning Yin, who shot up four places to No. 4 in the world. Yin, 23, has finished runner-up in her last two starts, including a share of second at the Chevron Championship.

"I think this week will be my fifth runner-up in 19 months, so I don't know, I think it's coming," said Yin.
