New York Giants feel they've had 'a lot of wins' this offseason

New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen expressed strong satisfaction with the franchise’s 2026 offseason, highlighting seamless collaboration with new head coach John Harbaugh as a key highlight.

In an appearance on NFL Network’s The Insiders, Schoen described the period from January onward as marked by multiple successes, starting with the targeted recruitment and hiring of Harbaugh.

"It started with the interview process," Schoen said. "We were the first team to interview him and the only team to interview him. Going through free agency, the draft, and the combine were all positive developments.

"Communicating on how to put together a roster and a coaching staff went well. It felt like we have had a lot of wins from January to today. The relationship has been great."

The offseason began with the establishment of a new coaching staff following Brian Daboll's mid-season termination. It continued through strategic free-agent additions and culminated in the 2026 NFL draft, where the Giants addressed key roster needs under the shared vision of Schoen and Harbaugh.

Harbaugh has publicly voiced pleasure with Schoen's work, praising the group assembled and the draft process, signaling a productive partnership.

"I feel great about how it's gone," Harbaugh told reporters after the draft. "Starting from the ground up, looking at the staff and the scouts and everything, it's a great group. It's a great group that Joe put together."

This positive momentum dispels earlier speculation that Schoen's position was in jeopardy after the draft. With a stable front office and clear alignment at the top, the Giants appear positioned for renewed competitiveness in the NFC East.
