Litmus Test's odds and profile for the 2026 Kentucky Derby
The New York Giants are projected to select Alabama receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams with the No. 10 pick in the 2027 NFL draft, according to a mock draft by Sports Illustrated. Coleman-Williams is noted for his speed and playmaking ability despite some consistency issues.
Early projections for whom the New York Giants will select in the first round of the 2027 NFL draft have begun to surface.
In a way-too-early mock draft by Sports Illustrated’s Dan Flick, the Giants are projected to select Alabama wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams with the No. 10 overall pick in next year's draft.
New York expressed considerable interest in Jordyn Tyson during the 2026 draft process but didn’t take a receiver until Malachi Fields in the third round. The Giants still need more playmakers to complement Malik Nabers, and Coleman-Williams is nothing if not exciting. Though he had a bit of a disappointing sophomore season, the 6' 0", 178-pound receiver is fast, explosive and has tremendous body control. Drops and consistency have been issues, but Coleman-Williams is an impressive run-after-catch weapon with big-time playmaking capabilities.
Coleman-Williams recorded 689 receiving yards and four receiving touchdowns in 2025 at Alabama. As a freshman in 2024, he posted 865 receiving yards.
The Giants addressed their need for a wide receiver this offseason by selecting Notre Dame’s Malachi Fields with the No. 74 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft. Fields possesses great size and leaping ability at 6-foot-4, but he will need to prove that he is ready to serve as the No. 2 receiver opposite Malik Nabers next season.
New York also has Darius Slayton, with whom Fields will compete for the Giants’ No. 2 receiver role in 2026.
In this year’s draft, New York selected Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa with the No. 10 overall pick instead of potential top wide receivers such as USC’s Makai Lemon and Texas A&M’s KC Concepcion. As a result, a precedent still exists for the Giants to target a top wide receiver prospect in the 2027 draft.
Ryan Coleman-Williams is a wide receiver from Alabama projected to be selected by the Giants in the 2027 NFL draft, known for his speed and explosive playmaking abilities.
In 2025, Ryan Coleman-Williams recorded 689 receiving yards and four touchdowns, while in 2024, he had 865 receiving yards.
The Giants need to strengthen their receiving corps to complement existing players like Malik Nabers, making a receiver like Coleman-Williams a valuable target.
