Newcastle and England star Anthony Gordon attracting interest from Bayern Munich and Barcelona

Speculation surrounding Anthony Gordon's future at Newcastle United has intensified, with European heavyweights Bayern Munich and Barcelona reportedly making fresh advances for the England international.

The 25-year-old winger enjoyed a standout season in Europe after netting 10 times in the Champions League – including a goal against Barcelona in August – and a summer departure has been widely anticipated.

Reports from Sky Sports Germany indicate that Bayern Munich have directly presented Gordon's representatives with terms for a five-year contract. However, the Bundesliga champions are understood to be prepared to explore alternative targets should Newcastle's valuation not decrease.

Meanwhile, various Spanish media outlets suggest that Gordon's agents have been photographed in discussions with Barcelona's director of football, Deco.

The Catalan club may be in the market for new attacking talent, particularly as Gordon's England teammate Marcus Rashford is expected to return to Manchester United upon the expiry of his loan deal this summer.
