That is believed to be the best part of £80million.” Waugh noted that although interest already exists in Gordon, a deal is not guaranteed at this point, precisely because of Newcastle’s sky-high valuation of the winger. “While Gordon is expected to go, it is not categorical he does because it depends upon a deal being struck,” Waugh said. Elsewhere, multiple departures are anticipated across the squad and some of them have already been confirmed, mostly those linked to upcoming free agents and on-loan goalie . “ is already leaving, Fabian Schar and the other out-of-contract players are expected to follow,” Waugh said. The midfield, meanwhile, could also see movement depending on offers for the current Magpie starters. “ has been heavily linked with a move and there is a decent possibility of the Italian leaving, but only if a club can meet the significant overall cost required,” Waugh said. And related to the two offensive whiffs from last summer, Waugh reported that both and Nick Woltemade could either stay or leave, with a big amount of uncertainty about their futures in Tyneside, with just a couple of games before the end of the season. “The futures of Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa are yet to be resolved, too,” Waugh said. Despite the expected turnover, Newcastle are aiming to keep their No. 1 leader and longtime face of the project, Bruno Guimaraes, in tow. “Newcastle hope and expect to keep hold of the rest of their squad, including Bruno Guimaraes,” Waugh said.
