Many supporters and Neymar fans interpreted the gesture as him trying not to hear the "kind words" coming from the crowd.

After all, in midweek, the Santos idol argued with a fan and left the same Vila pitch to boos because of the draw with modest Recoleta in the Copa Sudamericana.

However, Neymar immediately went on social media to explain that his ears were itchy, but he insulted the page’s "admin" that had posted about why he had his fingers in his ears.
