The NFL has confirmed the Denver Broncos' offseason program dates for 2026, including a rookie minicamp from May 8-10. Veterans will report on May 4, with organized team activities starting in early June.
The NFL officially announced dates for 2026 offseason programs on Wednesday, confirming that the Denver Broncos have scheduled a rookie minicamp for May 8-10.
Before that rookie camp, veterans are scheduled to report for the start of the offseason program on May 4. The first month of the program will be weight training and conditioning. Denver's veteran players won't begin on-field work until organized team activities (OTAs) begin in early June, followed by a mandatory minicamp in mid-June.
The big story to watch going into the offseason program is the health of quarterback Bo Nix. The Broncos' brass (and Nix himself) had previously said the QB would be ready for the offseason program and OTAs, but after Nix (ankle) underwent a clean-up procedure last week, his spring status is now in doubt.
Following the mid-June minicamp, players will have a summer break until returning for the start of training camp, likely in late July. Last year, Denver announced its training camp schedule in late June. Fans can likely expect a similar timeline this summer.
The key dates include veterans reporting on May 4, rookie minicamp from May 8-10, and organized team activities beginning in early June.
Bo Nix's status for the offseason program is uncertain after undergoing a clean-up procedure on his ankle, despite earlier assurances he would be ready.
During the first month, the Broncos will focus on weight training and conditioning before moving to on-field work in June.
