The Tennessee Titans could take their second-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft in a variety of directions. Naturally, what they ultimately decide at No. 4 overall will impact their options at No. 35 overall. Many expect Mike Borgonzi to possibly target a wide receiver, pass rusher, or interior offensive lineman with the 35th selection.
Thereās no guarantee Borgonzi targets an immediate position of need at No. 35 overall. Future needs and forecasts, or a best player available approach could have a drastic impact on the final decision. Weāve identified three surprising prospects/positions the Titans could target in the second round.
The Titans hosted Florida defensive tackle Caleb Banks on a pre-draft Top 30 visit. Heās one of the prospects in this class with the widest range of outcomes. At times, Banks appears to carry dominant potential. Injuries and inconsistent play prevented him from reaching those heights with sustained momentum. He could be elite. He could be a bust. With the Titans potentially playing John Franklin-Myers outside, thereād be room next to Jeffery Simmons.
The Titans invested more than $110 million at cornerback in free agency. They signed Alontae Taylor and CorāDale Flott to defend the boundary. Joshua Williams was signed to replace Darrell Baker Jr. as a reserve backup. Sophomore sixth-round pick Marcus Harris doesnāt appear to have much competition at nickel. Thatās probably not a great thing. Miami cornerback Keionte Scott is a nickel-only defender with a high football IQ and rare playmaking ability.
If the Titans want to release left tackle Dan Moore Jr. from his bloated contract next offseason, then getting a successor before one is critically needed would be wise. Arizona State offensive tackle Max Iheanachor began playing football at the JUCO ranks in 2021. Heās been a quick learner, partially thanks to rare movement skills, athleticism, and size. Drafting Iheanachor at No. 35 and playing him in a backup swing tackle role before asking him to be a full-time starter in 2027 would be smart.
The Titans could target several prospects, including Caleb Banks, a defensive tackle from Florida, as well as potential wide receivers and pass rushers.

The Titans' decision at No. 4 overall will significantly influence their options and strategy for the second-round pick at No. 35 overall.
