Barcelona player ratings against Celta Vigo: Pedri shines after difficult start

NFL analyst Todd McShay predicts the Chargers may select cornerback Jermod McCoy with the No. 22 pick in the draft. Despite concerns over his past ACL injury, McCoy showcased his speed and explosiveness at his pro day.
In his final mock draft, renowned analyst Todd McShay mocked Ohio State defensive tackle Kayden McDonald to the Chargers with the No. 22 overall pick in his final projection. However, what's more noteworthy is that McShay highlighted a significant connection between the Chargers and Tennessee cornerback Jermod McCoy.
"This is the team I hear most often connected to Jermod McCoy in Round 1, but most of the intel has McCoy making a similar slide to Round 2 as we saw from Will Johnson a year ago," McShay said.
While talented, even some analysts' top cornerback in this class, there are concerns about the January 2025 ACL tear that kept McCoy out last season. There's no concern about his ability to play in 2026, but more about the long term.
At his pro day, McCoy silenced health concerns with a 4.38-second 40-yard dash and a 38-inch vertical, proving his explosiveness is still there post-surgery.
McShay mentioned that they believe McCoy will slide in the draft, similar to Cardinals' Will Johnson, who was tabbed as a top 10 player, but a degenerative knee condition and turf toe in his final season at Michigan caused him to slide to No. 47 overall.
The Chargers own the No. 55 overall pick in the second round. Perhaps he could slide to them in that slot, or there's a possibility of them being comfortable enough taking him at pick No. 22, should he still be on the board. While the need for a guard and edge rusher is bigger, the Bolts could still benefit from a top-tier cornerback.
The Chargers are frequently mentioned as a potential team to draft cornerback Jermod McCoy in Round 1, according to analyst Todd McShay.
Jermod McCoy ran a 4.38-second 40-yard dash and achieved a 38-inch vertical leap, demonstrating his explosiveness after recovering from an ACL injury.
There are concerns about the long-term effects of McCoy's January 2025 ACL tear, although he is expected to be able to play in 2026.
