With the NFL draft looming on the horizon, a Texas A&M wide receiver is making waves as a potential first-round selection.
After an impressive campaign in his lone season with the Aggies, KC Concepcion proved to be one of the most electric wideouts in college football in 2025. He is arguably one of the most dynamic draft prospects to come out of Texas A&M at the position since Mike Evans.
Throughout the entire process leading up to Thursday's draft in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Concepcion has passed all tests with flying colors. He also put NFL general managers on notice with a passionate letter about how his stutter, which he has struggled with the majority of his life, will not define him.
The concluding paragraph of this astonishing letter to the league's 32 franchises is a testament to the hard work Concepcion has put in to hearing his name called.
"Before I get out of here, I do want to say, once again, for all to hear, that I'm the best receiver in this draft. But, at the end of the day, I'm so much more than just a football player. And any team that picks me is going to realize that immediately. So if you're a GM out there reading this, put me on your team, and let's get to work. You're not going to regret calling my name. Never. And I mean never. Did I stutter?"
He is right on many levels with his letter to NFL GMs; he is much more than just a football player. His leadership and personality off the gridiron are contagious. Those are the qualities that teams across the league are clamoring to find in their respective prospects.
Concepcion hauled in 61 receptions for 919 yards and nine touchdowns, while also flashing as a punt returner for 456 yards and two touchdowns. As a junior donning the Maroon and White uniform, he earned five All-America honors (AP, AFCA, CBS Sports, Sports Illustrated and The Sporting News).
His outstanding performances for Texas A&M earned him an invite to the 2026 NFL Combine, where Concepcion was able to showcase his speed, agility and exceptional hands to scouts from across the league. According to the NFL's Next Gen Stats, he ranked 10th among all wide receivers at the combine with a 75 production score and was listed 27th with a 71 athleticism score, for a combined 77 (13th overall).
That opened the eyes of many scouts who got to know Concepcion and watched the film he produced throughout his junior year. Entering the 2026 draft, here are the teams the Aggie wideout is currently being projected to land on Thursday night:
