The Miami Dolphins, after sending wide receiver Jaylen Waddle to the Denver Broncos earlier this offseason, now have two first-round picks to work with in the 2026 NFL draft.
Miami has overturned a good portion of their roster since Jon-Eric Sullivan and Jeff Hafley took over as general manager and head coach, respectively. That's left them with holes to fill at nearly every position.
While it's tough to nail down exactly what the Dolphins will do, ESPN's Adam Schefter projected Miami's first round during an episode of his podcast on Monday.
"The Dolphins have a new general manager, Jon-Eric Sullivan. They have a new head coach in Jeff Hafley. They have needs almost across the board," Schefter said. "I believe their starting wide receivers today would be Malik Washington, Jalen Tolbert and Tutu Atwell. The Dolphins could certainly use a wide receiver, but what I would say to that is this.
"When you're building a team, you're not building a team from outside in, you're building it from inside out. So, to me, I'm don't know which lineman they're going to take, but it should be a lineman. If [Francis] Mauigoa would happen to fall to No. 11, a Miami guy, wouldn't that be a great pick to make? I think so. Could they go with another offensive lineman? Absolutely. You're going inside out. Just keep building it that way. I think that's the safest way for them to go at this point in time. There are holes everywhere. There are holes on the offensive line, defensive line, and Jon-Eric Sullivan has a lot of picks to address some of those holes with."
The Dolphins have needs across nearly every position, particularly at wide receiver.
As of now, the starting wide receivers are Malik Washington, Jalen Tolbert, and Tutu Atwell.
The new general manager of the Miami Dolphins is Jon-Eric Sullivan.

Later on in the episode, Schefter shared his belief that the team should do something similar with pick No. 30.
"Whatever line they don't address [at No. 11], I would address the other line," Schefter said. "If they address the offensive line first, defensive line second. Defensive line, offensive line, or double up. More linemen. Build it inside out."
Sullivan stated during his introductory press conference that building a team from the lines, so while it wouldn't be the sexiest thing that the Dolphins could do, it may make the most sense.
