Jefferson blunt on McCarthy with Kyler a Viking
Justin Jefferson discusses the Vikings' QB competition between J.J. McCarthy and Kyler Murray.
The 2026 NFL draft is this week, and that means analysts will release their final mock drafts. ESPN's Jordan Reid released his final mock draft, one that goes a full seven rounds. However, this mock draft does not have any trades, which means it will be tough to have any accuracy.
He has the Arizona Cardinals taking quarterback Ty Simpson, taking a tackle and addressing the defensive edge withe their first three picks.
Assuming no trades, taking Mauigoa over pass rusher David Bailey seems foolish. Getting Mauigoa and other picks instead of Bailey perhaps will be acceptable.
Simpson seems like a lock at this point, although the question is where the Cardinals get him.
They do go with a pass rusher in Crawford in the third round for the second straight year after getting Jordan Burch last year. He has some upside.
They have interest in McClellan, so taking him in the fourth round makes sense. After that, they are Day 3 picks.
Overall it's an okay draft, but is fantastic if Simpson ends up being good.
