NFL schedule leaks: Steelers' Week 1 opponent revealed ahead of 2026 release
NFL schedule release leaks are flying left and right, and the Pittsburgh Steelers' regular-season Week 1 opponent has been revealed.
According to NFL Nerd on social media, the Steelers will reportedly open their season at home against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1.
Since 1966, the Steelers and Falcons have competed in 19 matchups, with Pittsburgh holding a 16-2-1 advantage over Atlanta.
The last time these two teams faced off was in 2024, when the Justin Fields-led Steelers opened the season against the Falcons in Atlanta. In what was a slow-paced game for both offenses, Chris Boswell led Pittsburgh to an 18-16 victory, accounting for every point off six field goals.
