Black Friday is all about the deals. Good sale on a new blender? Add to cart. Gift idea for mom is 60% off its usual price? Yes, please.
A fourth NFL game to follow up a triple-header on Thanksgiving? Now we're talking.
For the fourth straight season, the NFL will play a game on Black Friday. The league added the game to the schedule in 2023 to allow Amazon Prime Video rights to an additional game, since its usual "Thursday Night Football" broadcast rights don't apply on Thanksgiving.
So, following the three-piece of Turkey Day games, the league schedules a fourth standalone game ahead of the normal Sunday slate.
