Not the sort of news we were hoping for, but Nikolas Khamenia has committed to UConn.
Given his hard-nosed attitude, he probably will mesh with Dan Hurley pretty well. We’ve seen enough of his game to know that he has the potential to become a really good player, and there are parts of his game we haven’t seen much of yet, specifically passing.
It’s sad to see him go, but keep in mind that he left for reasons, and not all of them may be bad for Duke Basketball. We can think of several scenarios that could be quite good.
Anyway, best of luck, Nik! We’ll miss you in Cameron.
