Nikola Jokic left ‘irritated’ after thinking private item was stolen after Nuggets defeat

Nikola Jokic endured a frustrating night as the Denver Nuggets fell 112-96 to the Minnesota Timberwolves, leaving them trailing 3-1 in the series.

Tensions had already risen late in the game, with Jokic involved in an altercation with Jaden McDaniels following a controversial final possession.

That mood carried into the locker room, where a bizarre moment briefly added to his irritation before the situation was quickly resolved.

According to The Athletic journalist Jason Quick, Jokic emerged from the showers in clear frustration, believing something unusual had happened to his belongings.

“Someone stole my underwear,” the ‘Joker’ reportedly said.

Quick described the Serbian centre as “part alarmed, part panicked, part irritated” as he searched for the missing item in the aftermath of the defeat.

The situation, however, was resolved almost immediately when Jokic located his underwear “draped over the closet rod in his locker.”

While the moment was light-hearted in hindsight, it reflected the overall tension surrounding Denver as they struggle to regain control of the series.

Jokic’s frustration extended beyond the locker room incident, with the star openly addressing his performances after the game.

He described his level in the series as “average”, acknowledging that he has not reached his usual standards.

According to SofaScore, Jokic is averaging 25 points, 12.5 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game, alongside a 39.1% shooting accuracy.
