No. 10 Florida State softball defeated Boston College with a shutout, led by Jazzy Francik's no-hitter performance.
Florida State softball opens their series with Boston College with another shut out run rule behind the arm of Jazzy Francik.
Jazzy Francik and BCâs Bailey Kendziorski both tossed a scoreless first inning, and Kendoiorski came back out for the second. Leading off, Bella Ruggiero reached on a single, then stealing second one out later. A walk put two on base and the double from Hayley Griggs brought in one run.

Following up the extra base hit, Makenna Sturgis had a double of her own, brining in two more runs and making it 3-0.
A single and a walk with two out had two on against the Eagles. With the lineup turned over, Isa Torres and Jaysoni Beachum both doubled to extend the lead.

BC made a change from Kendziorski to Kelly Colleran, who immediately gave up an RBI single to Ashtyn Danley. The hit made it 7-0 for the Seminoles.
In the bottom of the inning, Francik continued her outstanding outing, sitting the Eagles down in order.
An error broke up Francikâs perfect game in the previous inning, but still had her no hitter remaining. Colleran gave up back to back singles for her first full inning out of the bullpen, which made it 8-0. Continuing the hit parade, Torresâ double had FSU up nine runs.

One out later, Torres stood on third for a sacrifice fly off the bat of Danley.
In the bottom of the inning, BC was down to its final three outs. Facing a possible no hitter, Francik utilized her defense to secure her second no hitter in as many weeks.
