No New York Yankees pitcher had ever had a night quite like the one Ryan Weathers had on Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Angels.
Weathers struck out 10 batters, a high-quality whiff outing.
He also allowed four home runs, much more than you'd want.

The Angels got to Weathers right away.
Mike Trout hit a solo home run with one out in the first inning.
Next up was Jo Adell, and he went deep for a solo shot, too.
And then it was back-to-back-to-back as Jorge Soler left the yard, too.
Weathers settled in for a few innings before Oswald Peraza hit his own solo home run in the fourth inning.
The Yankees did allow one final home run late as Yoan Moncada took Yerry De los Santos deep in the first game for the New York reliever since being called up from Triple-A.
Weathers made it particularly odd by lasting as long as he did, thanks to the fact that three of the homers came in the first before he settled down, and helped that they were all solo home runs.
Still, not a day he'll feel particularly happy about. Letting the other guys trot around the bases is no fun, no matter how many strikeouts you're able to pair it with.
