Florida State football senior wide receiver Duce Robinson made a major impact in his first season with the Seminoles. Standing at 6 feet 6 inches, Robinson ended his first season with FSU with 56 receptions, 1,081 receiving yards, six touchdowns, and five 120-yard receiving games. His 2025 season performance earned him First Team All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors as he finished as a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award.
In January, Robinson announced that he was forgoing the National Football League (NFL) Draft to return to the ’Noles for his senior season. Robinson highlighted his long love for the Garnet and Gold as a key factor for why he stayed. His father, Dominic Robinson, played as Florida State's defensive back in 2001 and wide receiver from 2002-04.
In an exclusive interview with the FSView, Robinson sat down to discuss his reasoning for returning to the Seminoles, his passion for building Lego sets, and his appreciation for J. Cole’s music.
FSView Q: What has been the lowest moment in your career so far? What has it taught you about adversity and how can you apply that to this year’s team?
Duce: The biggest adversity I faced was my sophomore year fall camp. I just lost all confidence in myself. I spiraled really easy. I wasn't sure if I could catch the ball anymore. Every time I dropped the ball, I literally felt like the entire world was crashing down. But through that, I read a book called The Inner Game of Tennis ... I didn't read it because I wanted to read it. My mom forced me to read it. But I'm really happy she did because it taught me a lot about internal self-talk and just what weight the words you say to yourself actually hold. Since then, it's still a struggle every once in a while. I still battle with thoughts, confidence, questioning myself but I think I’m armed with the tools to be able to fight it now a lot better.

Q: What’s your favorite cheat meal?
Duce: I love going to A Town [Wings]. Like a Friday night, if I don't have anything that weekend, I'm gonna hit up A Town. I'm gonna get a little 10 piece, get the honey lemon pepper and the medium lemon pepper, with some fries. It's great, man. I highly recommend it.
Q: How do you take lessons from football and apply them to class?
Duce: I think football really just teaches you the importance of following through on everything you do. For me, a lot of the lessons in football are if you just get your work done, if you show up on time, and if you give effort, then you're gonna be successful in life.
