After the Tar Heels got a big series win at home against Boston College, they followed it up with another big week going 3-1 overall. That included a series win on the road against Clemson in a series they lost game one before winning the final two.
The Diamond Heels are starting to find their groove here in April and are playing some of their best baseball of the year right now. With the big series win, the Tar Heels also moved up in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll released on Monday.
North Carolina moved up from No. 5 to No. 3 in the poll, jumping two spots and trailing only No. 1 UCLA and No. 2 Georgia Tech.
