Notre Dame Lands Wide Receiver Jackson Coleman And Tight End Titus Hawk
Notre Dame is really starting to heat up on the recruiting trail. On April 25, the day of the 95th annual Blue-Gold game, they landed a commitment from safety Zayden Gamble. Last week, they landed two major commitments from defensive end Aidan O'Neil and quarterback Champ Monds. Coming into today, Notre Dame had 12 commits in the 2027 recruiting cycle, and today they added two more talented players to an already-talented class.
Wide receiver Jackson Coleman and tight end Titus Hawk committed to Notre Dame this morning to become the 13th and 14th players in the 2027 recruiting class. It's coming at a great time after the Irish added their quarterback for the 2027 class on Friday afternoon. Coleman is one of the most underrated pass catchers in the country and Hawk is crucial pick up in this class. Today, we break down both of their commitments and then dive into a daily mailbag focused on recruiting. You can listen to all of that and more in today's episode of the Irish Breakdown Podcast.

Here are some of the main topics we discussed on today's episode:
On Jackson Coleman's Commitment...
"He's a wide receiver from Valor Christian High School from Highland Ranch, Colorado. He's 6-4, 195-pounds and he committed this morning to be the 13th overall commitment in the 2027 class. This is a big one. You needed to get on the board at wide receiver and you needed to get a guy that had impact ability. This is a new name on the board; this recruitment reminds me a lot of the Bubba Frazier commitment from last year. Bubba didn't get offered until later in the spring and then pretty quickly after he got the offer, he committed to Notre Dame. When you dive into his backstory, they didn't offer Jackson until April. He was a late bloomer; he only had 18 catches as a sophomore but he goes out his junior season and breaks out. He caught 45 passes for 975 yards, averaged 21.7 yards per catch and had nine touchdowns."
On Titus Hawk's Commitment...
"This is another big commitment and I mean that literally and figuratively. He's a 6-7, 210-pound tight end from Choctaw, Oklahoma and when we're talking about the 'All-Name' team, Titus Hawk definitely comes to mind. This is an interesting recruitment and it's the complete opposite of Coleman. Notre Dame has been on Hawk for a very long time. So this recruitment was a little bit different but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter how you get it done, it just matters that you get it done. He's been on the board for quite some time and it worked out well. He's the first tight end in the class and he was officially offered by Notre Dame almost a year ago today."
