Notre Dame currently holds a commitment from 2027 Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy linebacker Amarii Irvin, who was a good start to the class. The team will still want to sign at least one more linebacker to feel good about numbers. Igwebuike is on the short list of talented options that the team hopes to close on.
Igwebuike is considered to be a four-star player and a Top-200 recruit by multiple of the major recruiting platforms right now. On the 247 Sports Composite ranking, the talented linebacker currently ranks as the No. 149 overall player, the No. 11 linebacker, and the No. 8 player from the state of Illinois for the 2027 recruiting class. Keeping top talent "at home" should always be a top priority for the Irish staff.
