The 2026 NFL Draft could carry the remarkable distinction of having four players from the same school drafted in the Top 10.
It’s likely Ohio State edge defender Arvell Reese will be the first of the quartet to be selected, despite having the least amount of experience of the group. Reese’s draft stock has seemingly fluctuated over the home stretch to the Draft, however he is still almost universally expected to be drafted by 4th overall.
The New York Giants don’t seem likely to take Reese even if he fell to fifth overall. However, it’s also possible that one of the Giants’ division rivals could trade up for him. If so, understanding the player would be a smart move.
Prospect: Arvell Reese (8)

(Reese is the Ohio State edge defender wearing number 8 with white wristbands.)
Arvell Reese projects as a starting edge defender with Pro Bowl upside at the NFL level.
Reese possesses incredibly high upside as well as uncommon versatility for a Front 7 player. He should be a true weapon in the hands of a creative defensive coordinator, and should be very well suited for disrupting modern NFL offenses.
Reese is stronger than his frame would let on, and is able to turn speed into power to take on offensive tackles. His agility and explosiveness also allow him to simply blow past unprepared blockers to disrupt in the backfield. He’s still built more like an off-ball linebacker than a modern edge defender, and he has the potential to continue to fill out as he matures. Reese should be a very good player early in his career, and a real problem for offenses for years to come as he reaches his upside.
Does he fit the Giants? Yes
