Arsenal had to fight hard to earn all three points against Newcastle United on Saturday, but they ended up achieving a 1-0 win thanks to Eberechi Ezeâs first-half finish.
The Gunners had to withstand plenty of Newcastle attacks before the full-time whistle, and Sky Sports pundits suggested to Eze afterwards that the team also might be feeling the pressure from the media and the fans.
But Eze pushed back against that suggestion, insisting itâs nothing more than the pressure the players put on themselves, adding that he thinks itâs a good thing.

âI feel like the pressure that we put on ourselves is so much more than whatâs coming from outside,â Eze said. âWeâre not too interested.
âI wouldnât say [itâs too much pressure]. Itâs the necessary pressure to win. You know whatâs at stake, you know whatâs in front of you. Weâve got an opportunity to do something incredible.
âItâs not negative, this is a beautiful, beautiful position that weâre in, to be able to achieve something that the club hasnât achieved in how long.â

The players undeniably had to give everything to see out the 1-0 win on Saturday, which potentially raises questions about whether they have enough in the tank for another four Premier League matches and at least two Champions League fixtures (hopefully three).
On that front, club captain Martin Odegaard suggested the team are ready to keep fighting every game and every day to achieve their goals this season.
âWe just have to keep going,â Odegaard told Sky Sports. âItâs the end of the season, so just leave everything out that we have inside and just fight every single game, for every single win.
âWe did that today, and we just have to keep going, look [to] the next game now and win again, and keep going.
â[Top of the league] is where we want to be, but itâs going to go all the way to the end and weâre ready for it. Weâre going to fight every single day. Looking forward to it!â
Odegaard and Eze called on Arsenal to give everything to win the Premier League title and to fight until the end.
Odegaard and Eze believe this season presents a unique chance for Arsenal to secure the Premier League title.
Their call for commitment and determination aims to inspire Arsenal players to maximize their efforts in the title race.
