PSG are Ligue 1 champions for the 14th time in their history. Luis Enrique’s Les Parisiens have secured the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 title this Wednesday in beating second-placed RC Lens in a reschuled game from Ligue 1’s 29th matchday. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring in the first half, and Ibrahim Mbaye wrapped up the away win deep in injury-time.
PSG only needed a draw at Lens’ Stade Bollaert-Delelis to retain their crown with a game left to spare. The Parisians are yet to lose a Ligue 1 title race since Lille’s 2021 shock run to Hexagoal.
Contrary to last year, when PSG eventually romped to a 19-point lead over second-placed Marseille, Les Parisienshad real opposition this time in Pierre Sage’s RC Lens, whose consistency delayed what felt inevitable: PSG’s 14th league title. Their Ligue 1 season will be put to an end on Sunday with their shortest away trip of the campaign at Paris FC.
Because PSG have been thrown out of the Coupe de France by their Parisian neighbours in the early stage of the tournament, Luis Enrique’s team will have a 13-day break before their ultimate challenge: going back-to-back in the Champions League against Arsenal in Budapest, on Saturday, 30 May.
PSG has won a total of 14 Ligue 1 titles in their history.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring, and Ibrahim Mbaye secured the win with a goal in injury time.
The match was crucial as PSG needed only a draw to retain their Ligue 1 title, which they achieved with a victory.
