Carson Hocevar won the NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway, with Chris Buescher and Alex Bowman finishing second and third, respectively. A major crash in Stage 2 involved at least 25 cars.

Carson Hocevar became NASCAR's newest winner on Sunday, capturing the checkered flag after 500 miles of NASCAR Cup Series action at Talladega Superspeedway. Chris Buescher finished second and Alex Bowman third.
In the end, 21 cars finished on the lead lap, and several others failed to reach the finish after a Stage 2 melee that collected at least 25 cars.
Ryan Preece, who won Stage 1, crashed coming to the checkered flag, while Stage 2 winner Ross Chastain went on to finish seventh in the race.
16 different drivers led laps during Sunday's Cup race, and Christopher Bell -- who also crashed on the final lap -- led the most at 31.
