Jack Nicklaus, the legendary golfer and Ohio State icon, served as an honorary starter at the 89th Masters tournament. At 86, he joined fellow Hall of Famers Gary Player and Tom Watson to kick off the event by teeing off at Augusta.
If there were a Mount Rushmore of Ohio State athletes, there's little doubt that golfing legend Jack Nicklaus would be on it. He still owns the record for winning the most majors of all time and is widely known as the greatest golfer of all time in most circles.

Nicklaus was on hand this week to tee things up for the 89th Masters as one of the honorary starters, along with fellow Hall of Famers Gary Player and Tom Watson, and each took turns driving the ball down the fairway to officially get things going for this week's tournament.
Watch as Nicklaus is the first to put his ball on the tee and send it down the lush fairway at Augusta and swell with a little Buckeye pride.
The Masters runs from Thursday to Sunday, and you can catch all of the action, as always, on ESPN and CBS as things heat up towards the final two rounds this weekend.
