Ohio State has offered a scholarship to five-star defensive back Langston Pridgeon, a top recruit in the 2028 class. The Buckeyes are also in a strong position for four-star offensive lineman Caden Moss, who has narrowed his choices to five schools.
NCAA Football: CFP National Championship-Ohio State at Notre Dame
Plenty of evaluating still being done by this Ohio State coaching staff, the latest offer to go out by way of the Buckeyes was given to five-star defensive back target, **Langston Pridgeon**. A 6-foot-2, 175 pound athlete, Langston is the No. 28 player nationally and second best cornerback in the 2028 class per the 247Sports Composite.
Florida, Georgia, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and several other programs already in the fold, Ohio State is wasting no more time building their own relationship with the Virginia native. An interesting aspect to this latest offer, Pridgeon was on the receiving end while on campus in Columbus, and that makes his visit more than worth the commute.
From here, Tim Walton will look to keep the Buckeyes heavily in the mix as they pitch why they’re the ideal destination for his development. Plenty of time to go however before any decision is made, Ohio State’s offer has at least been extended.
AGTG- Blessed to receive an offer from Thee Ohio State University. Thank you @ryandaytime and @OhioStateFB for the opportunity

Four-star OL keeps Ohio State in top schools
Regardless of position, Ohio State continues to stay atop of the lists for several top players across the country. Helping their chances of landing these top caliber recruits, the latest top schools list to include the Buckeyes was courtesy of offensive lineman **Caden Moss**.
A 6-foot-5, 320 pound offensive tackle, Moss is the No. 58 player nationally and fifth best tackle per the 247Sports Composite for the 2027 class. Nearly 30 schools on his offer list, Moss’ latest update in his recruitment keeps just five programs still in the running. Rounding out the top five, Ohio State was joined by the likes of Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, and Oregon.
Coming from Jackson, Mississippi, the Ole Miss connection is intriguing, but this far along, it’s anyone’s race and Ohio State is doing all they can to give them the best shot. Three commitments thus far, Tyler Bowen is certainly looking for more, and Moss would be an elite addition.

Keeping with the trend of offensive line, the Buckeyes were fortunate enough to play host this week to Georgia native, **Kweli Fielder**. A 6-foot-4, 310 pound offensive tackle, Fielder is already listed as the No. 23 player nationally and second best player at his position per the 247Sports Composite in the 2028 class.
Offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, and several more including Ohio State, Fielder’s latest trip to Columbus put the Buckeyes in great position early on as he clearly had a great time seeing all that Ohio State has to offer. On3 reporting that the Buckeyes move in to the “No. 1 spot” for Fielder, Ryan Day, Tyler Bowen, and the rest of the staff hit a home run with this five-star talent.
While Ohio State is off to a strong start with their offensive line recruiting, a bit of negative news surfaced with five-star target **Maxwell Hiller** committing to Florida. An expected outcome with the pro-Gators momentum the last several weeks, Hiller’s original top schools list did include the Buckeyes, but unless a major change in his recruitment comes about, they’ll be on the outside looking in.
The No. five player nationally and top interior lineman in the 2027 class per the 247Sports Composite, Ohio State is on to the next one as they look to round out the rest of this position group’s haul.
