The Edmonton Oilers have a lot of questions to answer this offseason.
The big ones will dominate most of the headlines. What does Connor McDavid's future look like? Can they get better in goal, and how? Do they need to make other maneuvers to figure out a way back to a deep playoff run in 2026-27?
But those are far from the only questions.
One guy that's flying under the radar is Jack Roslovic, who played a solid campaign on a value contract of just $1.5 million for 2025-26.

Roslovic is heading toward free agency, and the Oilers will have to decide whether they want to make a long-term commitment to him.
"The speedy Roslovic provided great value relative to his AAV during the regular season, even if he wasn’t consistent," Daily Faceoff's Matt Larkin wrote in a new article on Friday. "Will he parlay that into a multi-year commitment from the Oilers? He’s been pretty valuable to a team whose depth was decimated over the 2025 offseason, though it hasn’t translated at all to playoff production, and he’s been relegated to the bottom six."
The Oilers' offseason priorities include addressing Connor McDavid's future, improving goaltending, and strategizing for a deeper playoff run.
Jack Roslovic's role is uncertain, and the Oilers must decide on his future as they navigate their offseason strategy.
The Oilers need to resolve key roster questions and make strategic moves to enhance their chances for a successful playoff run in the 2026-27 season.

The lack of playoff performance will leave a sour taste in the Oilers' mouths about what Roslovic can do, but the reality is that much of Edmonton's roster was a postseason letdown. That isn't on Roslovic.
Their better assessment needs to be about how he can help them in the long run of the season, because the Oilers simply need to continue finding production beyond their superstars McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.
Maybe Roslovic can continue to do that, or maybe he'll find the grass being greener somewhere else in the NHL.
His free agency will matter for Edmonton's future, though, and it bears watching.
