One NFL analyst didn't learn much from Titans' rookie minicamp

Now that the majority of rookie minicamps have wrapped around the league, many analysts have started to break down what was learned from these initial workouts.

Robert Saleh and the Tennessee Titans threw them all a curveball, showing very little, with the draft class mostly taking part in meetings and staying far from the action. This was something the staff had planned for, and that gave the tryout players and signed undrafted rookie free agents a chance to shine.

This tactic with the draft class was exactly what Carter Bahns of CBS Sports pointed out in his rookie minicamp wrap-up.

Robert Saleh held the eight rookies out of most involvement and instead focused on conditioning drills. No. 4 pick Carnell Tate, however, did catch a few passes in warmups. The first reads on Tennessee's newcomers will come in the weeks ahead, starting May 18, when the team begins OTAs.

What Bahns didn’t point out was that none of the Titans' tryout players did enough to catch the eye of the coaching staff, and none were signed in the days following camp. Other than that, the only player who drew significant attention on social media was undrafted rookie wide receiver Tyren Montgomery, who appeared in multiple posts.

Here's hoping that offseason team activities (OTAs) and the mandatory minicamp give at least some insight on what to expect from the Titans in 2026.
