Trevoh Chalobah is one of the few Chelsea players who has visibly been giving it their all this season, something that won’t surprise anyone given his strong roots at the club.
When Liam Rosenior said after a recent defeat that there were only 3 or 4 players out there who he could rely on, you knew that Chalobah was one of them. The defender has also been one of the few to step up and do media duties after tough results.
He spoke to BBC Sport after yesterday’s win over Leeds about the feeling in the dressing room after Rosenior’s sacking.
“When a manager goes, it is difficult. You obviously spend time with them and work with them daily, so you have to adapt and reset again,” Chalobah explained.
“We have to look at ourselves as players and take responsibility from now until the end of the season. It is about not making excuses, going again and trying to win our games.”
We find out in a week’s time if this was a one-off, or if the Blues really are back.
