Draft day is finally here. The 2026 NFL Draft will take place in Pittsburgh. It begins on Thursday, April 23 and will wrap up on Saturday, April 25. The New Orleans Saints have eight selections in this year's draft as it stands right now, barring any trades. Last year, the Saints had nine selections, with four earning starting roles and two more making significant contributions.
Here's a full list of the picks that New Orleans owns in the 2026 draft.
The 32 selections in the first round will take place on Thursday night, with the official start at 7 p.m. CT. Rounds 2 and 3 will be held on Friday evening, beginning at 6 p.m. CT. Saturday will feature Rounds 4, 5, 6, and 7, starting at 11 a.m. CT. Each team will have eight minutes to make their pick in the first round, seven minutes for their pick in the second round, five minutes for selections in Rounds 3, 4, 5, and 6, and four minutes for picks made in the seventh round. This is slightly changed from recent years and the first that the timing has changed in the first round since 2008.
If they make all eight of their picks, it would be just the second time in a decade since the forgettable 2015 draft that the Saints made more than seven selections. In 2015 and last season, they made made nine picks. Their fewest in that span was in 2020, when they drafted four players. New Orleans doesn't own a seventh-round pick this year after trading it to the New England Patriots last spring, in exchange for nose tackle Davon Godchaux.
Last year's draft brought starters left tackle Kelvin Banks Jr., quarterback Tyler Shough, safety Jonas Sanker, and cornerback Quincy Riley along with promising linebacker Danny Stutsman and backup running back Devin Neal. Banks (9th), Shough (40th), and Sanker (93rd) were all three chosen in the first two days. Stutsman (112) and Riley (131) were both fourth-round picks.
