Oregon Ducks baseball faces Gonzaga Bulldogs in a midweek matchup at PK Park. Oregon aims to maintain its momentum after a successful week, currently ranked No. 13.
After a successful week on the diamond, the Oregon Ducks (32-11, 15-6 Big Ten) will try to keep their momentum rolling into a midweek battle against the Gonzaga Bulldogs (27-14, 15-3 WCC) at PK Park.
Oregon picked up a big win last week at No. 6 Oregon State in a midweek contest before sweeping Penn State in Eugene over the weekend. The undefeated week led Oregon to jump up to No. 13 in the rankings as they continue their pursuit of a regional hosting bid.
The Ducks had strong starting pitching performances throughout the week to stay in tight games, before the bats awoke in the late innings to help the Ducks capture a pair of comeback wins. Heading into another midweek game, Oregon's pitching staff is at a bit of a crossroads: it needs to win to maintain its position for a regional host bid, but injuries have limited its options. Cal Scolari has missed two straight Sunday starts, leading Miles Gosztola to take his place. Last week at Oregon State, the Ducks used 10 pitchers to escape Corvallis with a win.
Oregon and Gonzaga have yet to announce a starter for today's game.
Gonzaga comes into Eugene riding high as winners of 14 in a row and owners of the longest win streak in the country. Gonzaga has not lost since April 2 against Pepperdine. However, PK Park has historically been a house of horrors for the Bulldogs, with the Ducks holding a record of 15-2 at home over the WCC foe, including a 14-9 win in 2024 when the teams last met.
Follow along with live inning-by-inning updates and analysis below as the Ducks aim to snap Gonzaga's incredible win streak. The game will stream live on BigTenPlus.com. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. PST.
