The Oregon Ducks are taking their spot in one of the most high-profile college basketball tournaments next season. Dana Altman's Ducks will be in Las Vegas for the week of Thanksgiving to compete in the Players Era Tournament, which will have a new format this time around.
The Players Era Tournament has expanded to 24 teams, and this edition of the tournament will include 13 teams that participated in the NCAA Tournament last season. The Ducks will begin play on Nov. 23 as one of 16 teams in their bracket. Oregon will share the floor with the reigning national champion Michigan, as well as Alabama, Gonzaga, St. John's, Louisville, Tennessee, Iowa State, Miami, Texas Tech, Baylor, Maryland, TCU, Creighton, San Diego State and Kansas State.
The other eight teams will play in their own bracket the week prior, on Nov. 16 in Las Vegas. Florida, Houston, Kansas, Auburn, West Virginia, Notre Dame, Rutgers and UNLV make up the rest of the field.
ESPN will broadcast all 37 games. Oregon's schedule and matchups for the tournament won't be announced until later in the offseason.

The Ducks focused on adding scoring threats and size this offseason, bringing shooters like Fred Payne and Tyrone Riley IV into the mix, while adding Pharaoh Compton and Taylor Bol Bowen as big forces down low. Both Compton and Bol Bowen could also face their former teams, with Alabama and San Diego State in the same bracket.
Oregon has been a staple in the Players Era, participating in the past two seasons. However, the Ducks fell in three games to Auburn, San Diego State and Creighton last year, and they weren't always competitive. This time around, it's a proving ground for Altman, where he needs to show that his efforts to rebuild the roster this offseason are building toward success.
In a crowded field, Oregon will be hoping to take home the championship in the tournament for the first time since the event began in 2024.
