Anytime you can get a guy who has played a notable role at both Florida State and Alabama, it seems like a worthwhile thing to pursue -- even on the basketball court in this case, despite that sounding like a couple of big-time football sentences.
The player being pursued is Taylor Bol Bowen. He's on a visit in Oregon, according to 247Sports.
The 6-foot-10 Bol Bowen split his high school career between St. George School in Rhode Island and then powerhouse Brewster Academy in New Hampshire.
He was a top-100 recruit in the Class of 2023.
Bol Bowen first joined the Seminoles, for whom he played two seasons.
In 2024-25, Bol Bowen averaged 8.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. He also shot 41.4% from 3-point range that season.

He moved on to Alabama for 2025-26 and saw his numbers decline a bit to averages of 6.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.4 steals and 1.0 blocks. His 3-point shooting also dropped to 30.2%.
Anyone pursuing Bol Bowen is hoping his shooting ends up on the upper half of his possible outcomes, while knowing that he's a stout rim protector.
Oregon could certainly use a guy with the experience, length and talent of Bol Bowen to add to the frontcourt.
The Ducks certainly have an impressive setup to show prospective commits, so the fact that Bol Bowen made it to Eugene for a visit gives a great chance of getting something done here.
