Man City in pole position to sign Anderson
Manchester City is set to sign Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest.
Oregon Ducks men's basketball team has secured five commitments from the transfer portal, ranking 32nd nationally. The team added players including Alabama's Taylor Bol Bowen and three four-star recruits.
During the first week of the 2026 men's basketball transfer portal window, it was all quiet for the Oregon Ducks ā well, besides all but one scholarship player deciding to enter the portal and depart from the program. But head coach Dana Altman and his staff had yet to receive a commitment from a single player, leaving only a handful of Ducks on the roster at the time.
But things quickly heated up for Altman, as Oregon hosted a number of players and has, to date, received the commitment of five players via the portal with the addition of Alabama forward Taylor Bol Bowen on Wednesday morning. Bol Bowen joined fellow forwards Andrew Meadow (Boise State), Pharaoh Compton (San Diego State), Tyrone Riley (San Francisco) and guard Jasper Johnson (Kentucky).
With the portal now closed as of Apr. 21, though there are still hundreds of players in the portal and will be more commitments in the coming weeks and months, the Ducks rank 32nd nationally in 247 Sports' team ranking of transfer portal commitments. Among their group of commitments, they've reeled in three four-stars and two three-stars.
The Ducks find themselves just above the Florida State Seminoles and just behind their bitter rival, the Washington Huskies. In regards to the Big Ten, Oregon is ranked No. 5, falling behind the Indiana Hoosiers, Maryland Terrapins, UCLA Bruins and Washington.
Meanwhile, the Louisville Cardinals, the landing spot for Ducks transfer point guard Jackson Shelstad, are unsurprisingly No. 1 on the list. Along with adding Shelstad, they also reeled in top-ranked big man Flory Bidunga and talented forwards Karter Knox and Alvaro Folgueiras.
While the loss of Shelstad certainly hurt, Altman has worked hard to add to the Ducks' roster over the last week and has done just that ā with more additions expected to come in the near future.
