There is still a long way to go for the Oregon Ducks in the 2027 recruiting cycle, but it never hurts to look a bit further down the line to the following year. Dan Lanning is doing just that, getting 2028 wide receiver Braylon Clark on campus for a visit on Thursday.
Clark, a four-star wideout from Charlotte, North Carolina, could wind up as the top pass catcher in the class when his signing day eventually comes around. Clark is the No. 6 overall player in the class, per Rivals, and the No. 3 wide receiver. Oregon is quickly establishing itself as a contender for his services.
Early in his process, Clark has spoken glowingly of Oregon's coaching staff, but they aren't alone. Clark is also being pursued by programs like Ohio State and Tennessee, and he plans to make visits to other top programs like Notre Dame and Texas A&M later this summer.
Oregon has had plenty of success recruiting out of North Carolina in recent years, and could continue that trend by landing Clark. The Ducks landed tight end Kendre Harrison in 2025 and secured a commitment last month from edge rusher Rashad Streets. Oregon has plenty of work to do to convince Clark to be the next Duck to make the trip across the country, but efforts from Lanning and wide receivers coach Ross Douglas have given the Ducks some early optimism.
The 6-foot-3 wideout made 65 catches for 1,093 yards and 12 touchdowns last season at Charlotte Country Day. Having transferred to Providence Day School, Clark could be in for an even bigger junior season, which the Ducks will be watching closely as his recruitment heats up.
