The Baltimore Orioles haven't gotten off to the start to the year they were hoping for. At 10-12, the Orioles are three games back of the New York Yankees, though they're in a better spot than either the Toronto Blue Jays or Boston Red Sox.

But that doesn't change that this start isn't ideal. And if things get worse in the coming months, the trade deadline could become a very disappointing one. For the second year in a row, the Orioles might be trading away players instead of adding.

Who could be on the way out if things go this poorly? As ESPN's David Schonefield highlighted, lefty ace Trevor Rogers could be on his way out of Baltimore this year if 2026 ends up being a mess.

"If-all-goes-wrong candidate No. 1: Trevor Rogers (FA)," Schoenfield writes. "Rogers isn't dominating quite as he did during his resurgence last year, but he's proving it wasn't a complete fluke, either. He would be a valuable addition to any playoff rotation."

Baltimore is only two games under .500, and it's far too soon to panic and trade away players who will be free agents next offseason.

But if things continue to go wrong and the Orioles are in a bad spot come the trade deadline, Rogers might be a player worth trading away this season.
