The Green Bay Packers were one of 12 teams to host Arizona State offensive tackle Max Iheanachor on a pre-draft visit, per NFL reporter Aaron Wilson.
Iheanachor, a three-year starter at Arizona State who measures 6-6 and 321 pounds, is ranked as the No. 30 overall player on the consensus big board. Dane Brugler of The Athletic ranks him as the No. 33 overall player, putting him firmly in the mix to be a first-round pick. The Packers don't come on the clock until No. 52 overall in the second round.
Iheanachor moved from Nigeria to the United States at age 13 and didn't start playing football until 2021, per Brugler. He is a raw but talented-filled prospect with a unique path to football, providing a likely reason why 12 teams wanted to host him pre-draft. Iheanachor also had labrum surgery before the 2025 season, so there would be medical reasons as well.
Iheanachor made 28 starts at right tackle at Arizona State. He was an All-Big 12 pick during his senior season in 2025, when he did not allow a sack across over 500 pass-blocking snaps. Iheanachor did commit nine penalties, including six penalties, so he remains a work in progress. But he steadily improved over his three seasons at Arizona State and his best football is almost certainly ahead of him.
At the combine, Iheanachor completed 25 reps on the bench and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.91 seconds at 321 pounds. He also hit 30.5" in the vertical and covered 9-7 in the broad jump. His Relative Athletic Score is 9.86 out of 10, with elite speed and elite explosive jumps.
Would the Packers consider Iheanachor if he fell into the second round? The Packers have Jordan Morgan expected to take over at left tackle and Zach Tom entrenched at right tackle, but Tom has multi-position versatility. It appears the Packers took measures to be prepared for the possibility of Iheanachor being available on Day 2.
