The Green Bay Packers head into Day 2 of the 2026 NFL draft with picks No. 52 and No. 84. They have options to trade up, stay put, or trade down to maximize their draft strategy.
The Green Bay Packers will go into Day 2 of the 2026 NFL draft with a pair of picks and a chance to finally make a mark after sitting out the first round on Thursday night. Day 2 of the draft is scheduled to open at 6:00 p.m. CT with the start of the second round and run through the end of the third round, spanning picks No. 33 through No. 100. The Packers have a pick in each round.
Trading up from No. 52 to target a player, staying put at No. 52 and picking a player, and trading down from No. 52 to add picks are all viable options for Brian Gutekunst. The Packers general manager did say he would prefer to use 2026 picks in the event he trades up on Friday. Could the right cornerback or defensive lineman fall into range of a trade up scenario? Or could the Packers add a Day 3 pick or two with a trade down?
The 49ers will get things started in the second round on Friday night. Barring a trade up, the Packers will need to watch 19 players get picked before they come on the clock in the second round. Expect a fast-moving Day 2 -- teams get seven minutes on the clock in Round 2 and five minutes on the clock in Round 3.
The Packers have the 52nd overall pick in the second round and the 84th overall pick in the third round.
The Packers could trade up to target a specific player, stay at No. 52 to select a player, or trade down to acquire additional picks.
Day 2 of the 2026 NFL draft starts at 6:00 p.m. CT.
