The Green Bay Packers are hosting Middle Tennessee State defensive back Juwon Gaston on a pre-draft visit, per Easton Butler.
Gaston, a Houston transfer, played 457 snaps as a rotational starter for Middle Tennessee State in 2025. He produced a team-high three interceptions, plus two forced fumbles, 2.5 tackles for loss and four pass breakups. Per PFF, Gaston allowed 18 catches and three touchdown passes while giving up a passer rating of 88.4 against his coverage. He was the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week after picking off two passes against Nevada in September.

Dane Brugler of The Athletic ranked Gaston as the No. 200 overall safety in the draft class. He is not ranked on the consensus big board and is likely to become an undrafted free agent.
Poor pre-draft testing is part of the reason why. His Relative Athletic Score is 0.33 out of 10.0, making him one of the worst athletes relative to size in the draft class. Gaston is small at 5-10 and 198 pounds, and he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.72 seconds, hit 28.5" in the vertical leap, covered 9-4 in the broad jump and finished the short shuttle in 4.66 seconds and the 3-cone in 7.31 seconds. All were considered poor relative to size at the position.
Gaston also had a missed tackle rate of 21.9 percent during his three seasons in the FBS. Despite tackling issues, he earned a 71.6 overall defensive grade from PFF in 2025.
Gaston began his collegiate career at Northeast Mississippi Community College. He transferred to Houston, where he played in 14 games between the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
