Green Bay Packers receiver Matthew Golden had an indifferent start to his NFL career last season, as he didn't really take off in the manner many expected.
Golden would play 14 games (5 starts), post just 361 yards from 29 receptions, and didn't have a touchdown in the regular season. In the playoffs, he had 84 yards and a touchdown from four receptions, however.
But now entering Year 2, and with the roster changes on the offensive side of the ball, maybe Golden is the one player who can step up for the Packers and Jordan Love.
And for offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich, he's expecting big things from Golden in 2026.
"He's looked great so far and it's going to be a big year for him," Stenavich said via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "I'm excited to watch it."

What are Golden's expectations?
Well, given that with the loss of Romeo Doubs, Golden is in line to start for Green Bay, you would have to think that, at the very least, a little better than last season.
But if Golden can push towards, say, 700 yards and a handful of touchdowns, while being a consistent outlet for Love, I get the sense fans might be fine with that.
There's no doubt that the Packers are going to need Golden to take his game up a level in Year 2, as Christian Watson and Jaylen Reed can't do it all themselves.
The offseason looms large for Golden as it could pave the way for a big 2026, and in truth, the Packers need him to get moving as a member of the offense.
