Packers QB Jordan Love Will Have Everything He Needs in 2026 and Beyond

The Green Bay Packers feel great about the weaponry they've put around quarterback Jordan Love heading into the 2026 season.

If they didn't feel good about it, they undoubtedly would have tired to address it in the 2026 NFL Draft. There were people out there who felt a wide receiver could have been in play for the Packers in the later rounds. With Tucker Kraft coming off an ACL tear, there were also rumors floating around that a tight end could have been on the board.

Ultimately, out of six rookies, only one is coming in on the offensive side of the ball for Green Bay. That's interior offensive lineman Jager Burton, who will start his career as a depth player at center and guard.

Every other pick in the draft went to defense. That's not to say the Packers didn't address their offense over the weekend. Their biggest move in Pittsburgh was arguably the extension of wide receiver Jayden Reed, the No. 50 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Reed has shown at times that he can be one of the better receivers in the league. As a rookie, he caught 64 passes for 793 yards and eight touchdowns. He followed that up with 55 catches for 857 yards and six touchdowns in his sophomore NFL campaign.

Injuries hampered Reed for much of the 2025 season (he played in just seven games), but the three-year, $50 million extension is proof that the Packers believe Reed can bounce back and once again become a major piece in the offense.

Speaking of, general manager Brian Gutekunst discussed another major player on offense over the weekend when talking about Reid's extension. It sounds like Christian Watson, the No. 34 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, could be up next when it comes to extensions.
