The Green Bay Packers have added some athleticism to their quarterback room.
They didn't pick a QB in the 2026 NFL Draft, but they signed one quickly as an undrafted free agent.
The reported deal is with Virginia Tech's Kyren Drones:
Drones began his college career with two limited seasons at Baylor.
He then joined the Hokies for three seasons, where he was an awesome dual threat.
He ran for 818, 336 and 644 yards across three seasons with 20 combined touchdowns.
As a passer, he threw for 2,085 yards, then 1,562 yards, then 1,919 yards.
He had a combined 44 touchdowns to 18 interceptions throwing the ball at Virginia Tech while completing 58.3% of his passes.
The Packers did lose Malik Willis this offseason, so this is an athletic QB to bring back into the building.
Behind Jordan Love, they just have Desmond Ridder and Kyle McCord right now. There's a job for Drones to win with the Packers for sure.
