Carolina Panthers president of football operations and general manager Dan Morgan had himself another fine night in the 2026 NFL Draft.
In a follow-up to Thursday's steal of Georgia offensive tackle and newly-minted 19th overall pick Monroe Freeling, the Panthers grabbed themselves two more intriguing prospects tonight. Morgan, who told reporters that he was "jacked" about the team's Day 2 haul, started by breaking down second-round pick—defensive lineman Lee Hunter.
"Big, physical, point-of-attack guy, who's athletic enough to get up and down the line of scrimmage," he said of the 6-foot-3, 318-pounder. "Makes a lot of plays. Eats up a lot of blockers for the linebackers. A guy we're really excited about."
Hunter was a first-team All-American and first-team All-SEC member at Texas Tech in 2025. He finished his decorated campaign with 41 combined tackles and 2.5 sacks.
Morgan then addressed the third-round selection of Tennessee wideout Chris Brazzell II—a promising 6-foot-4 vertical threat.
"Obviously, a big, long, linear receiver with a big catch radius," he noted. "Can adjust really well downfield. He's got the speed to take the top off, take it the distance. So another guy we're extremely excited about."
Brazzell averaged a whopping 16.4 yards per reception this past season. He ended up with 62 catches for 1,017 yards and nine touchdowns en route to a first-team All-SEC nod.
The Panthers will now enter the third and final day of the draft with four picks (No. 119, No. 158, No. 196 and No. 200).
