Paris Mayor mandated to begin Parc des Princes sale talks with PSG
There has been a chance of Mayor in Paris, with Anne Hidalgo replaced by Emmanuel Grégoire. The former was opposed to the sale of the Parc des Princes, but her successor has shown himself to be more open to the idea. The stadium is currently owned by the Métropole, however, Paris Saint-Germain have given an ultimatum: sell the stadium to us, or we leave. Plans have already been drawn up for a new stadium.
However, with Grégoire, Nasser Al-Khelaifi and PSG may now get their way. The Paris Mayor was seen alongside the PSG owner at the Parc des Princes earlier this month. Concrete steps have now been taken towards a sale.
During a session held on Tuesday, the Paris Council gave GrĂ©goire a mandate to officially begin talks with PSG regarding the sale of the stadium that they call home (106 votes out of 163, eight voted against, 41 abstained). There will now be talks between the authorities and *Les Parisiens.*There is a desire â on both sides â for these talks to advance rapidly, with the will for a decision to be reached by the Autumn.
