Aaron Rodgers has still yet to make it known whether or not he will return for a second season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and a 22nd season overall. The Steelers have remained confident that this situation wonāt drag on all offseason as it did in 2025 when Rodgers didnāt join the team until mandatory mini-camp in June, but with the NFL Draft just over a week away, many are worried that this will be a carbon copy of what we saw last spring.
Appearing on Good Morning Football, Steelers linebacker Patrick Queen was asked about Rodgers potentially returning, to which he said he would love to have him back, but that the team needs to be better for the four-time MVP.
āIs he gonna be back? I donāt know,ā Queen said. āBut hell, Iāll take him. Dude is a great teammate, great quarterback. We all know him, we all love him. He knows how to win. We just have to be better for him.ā
Rodgers threw 24 touchdowns to seven interceptions in 2025. His 24 touchdown passes were the most in a season by a Steelers quarterback since Ben Roethlisberger retired, and three more than Justin Fields and Russell Wilson threw combined in 2024.
Pittsburghās offense couldnāt get anything going in its wild card loss to the Houston Texans, putting up just two field goals in a 30-6 loss. With the additions of Michael Pittman and Rico Dowdle, though, their unit looks better on paper than it was in January.
