Hereās what to know about Patrick Reedās wife Justine:
Justine played golf in high school, and according to the Augusta Chronicle, she was ācompetitive in swimming and soccer while growing up in the Houston area.ā
āI was a freshman at the University of Georgia, and her younger sister, Kris, was at LSU,ā Patrick told Golf Digest. āKris came to visit, and we went on one date, and I texted her to confirm sheād made it back home safe. No response. So I reached out to Justine on Facebook, who confirmed her sister was back and got frank with me about why it was probably not going to work out. So I start talking with Justine, who I discovered is this incredibly driven person who was pursuing dual degrees while working to become a nurse. We kept talking as a couple of years went by; then we started dating. Best decision of my life.ā
Justine and Patrick began dating while he was at Augusta State, and Justine graduated with a double bachelorās in health administration and nursing. āWhen we met, it just clicked. I thought some of his quirks and some of the things he would do, even the way he ate his food, was just funny,ā she said. āHow particular he was. He was meticulous about everything.ā

While she trained to be a nurse, she quickly pivoted careers to support Patrick. āIf you had told me with all the work I put into my nursing degree Iād be doing this, I wouldnāt have believed you,ā Justine said in 2013. āWhen I told my Dad, he was like, āYouāre doing what?āā
āWe were road warriors, driving Justineās Lexus IS 250 sedan, chasing Monday qualifiers around the country just like they did in the old days. I had extra clubs and clothes,ā Patrick recalled in 2021. āShe had a full bag of makeup, full bag of hair products, 50 pairs of shoes . . . pretty hilarious just trying to tilt down the seat to catch some sleep as sheās driving through the night so that I could make a tee time. With her caddieing, we went six for eight in PGA Tour Mondays that year. For her to put her dreams aside to support me, Iāll never forget that. Someday I hope to be half the person she is.ā

He added, āI had my doubts at the beginning. First, her nursing job was our only stable income, and second, I didnāt know if she could keep up toting a bag bigger than she is. But as a former athleteāshe swam and played soccer in collegeāshe gets the psychology aspect of when to press and when not to. Iāll never forget Q school in 2012. After two rounds, we were in 100-something place. Iād shot myself out of it on a few holes, and I said, āLetās pack up.ā We were getting married in two weeks, and there was no sense burning through more money on a hotel. It was truly the first time in my life I was defeated by golf. There were too many good players, and I had dug myself too deep a hole. She said, āGive me one more day; if you play bad, weāll go home, but you have to treat it like a Monday.ā We argued and mustāve gone back and forth 20 times, but finally I relented. Long story short, I keep climbing the board, and four rounds later I get my card on the number. Iād never had anyone believe in me like that. Iām glad it happened that way. When you find the right person to support you, the skyās the limit.ā
