The New England Patriots have reportedly fired Marshall Oium, the Director of Football Strategy, after an embarrassing draft weekend failure, according to a report from insider Joseph Pasteris.
"Oium has been with the franchise since 2018 when he joined the team as a pro scout before moving into an executive role in the teamâs front office," Colin Kennedy wrote for 98.5 The Sports Hub. "Oium has served in his latest role in New England since June 2025."
Oium had one draft to show his talents after the immensely successful 2025 Patriots draft and, unfortunately for us all, completely dropped the ball.
