TreVeyon Henderson cleared the air on a false message circulating on social media.
A parody account called Football Crave made up a fake tweet from the New England Patriots running back. They framed the fabricated message as Henderson's response to Mike Vrabel's alleged affair with NFL reporter Dianna Russini, also baselessly claiming that the head coach is expected to step down before training camp.
"If you read this, I pray that this gives you hope. Your sin may be great, but God’s grace is greater. Turn away from sin and put your trust in Jesus," the fake quote from Henderson read before including a Bible verse regarding the sanctity of marriage.
Henderson disputed the inaccurate story.
"I have never made a public statement on the Vrabes situation," Henderson wrote. "Respectfully, please stop misspreading false information."
The Patriots reportedly have no plans to move on from Vrabel after photos of him and Russini surfaced. The ex-linebacker led to an AFC title in his first season back with his former organization.

While Hendeson has not directly addressed Vrabel's situation, Drake Maye was among the Patriots players to publicly defend the head coach. The quarterback claimed the off-field drama hasn't created any distractions.
"I think he's done a great job of talking to us and talking us through it," Maye said. "I'm just looking forward to getting back to work and getting ready."
